Beaufort Bank
926 Bay Street
Beaufort, SC
Beaufort is a city on Port Royal Island, one of South Carolina's costal Sea Islands. It's known for its antebellum mansions, especially in the downtown historic district. From 1919 when this building was built to 1926, it was home to the Bank of Beaufort. Once the bank closed, and the building sat vacant for a time. In 1947, enterprising brothers Earl and Ira Smith gave the building a new look and life as The Breeze Movie Theater. It is now a restaurant.
Note: this kit is a representation of the prototype building, but some artistic liberties have been made to adjust for manufacturing techniques, size constraints and additional features to make the kit into a more versatile/useful presentation.
