The Nickel Plate Road was constructed in 1881 along the South Shore of the Great Lakes to connect Buffalo and Chicago. In 1964, the Nickel Plate Road and several other midwestern carriers were merged into the larger Norfolk and Western Railway (N&W).

This is an illuminated  light box of the Nickel Plate logo. This is a PLA (Polylactic Acid) printed representation of the logo in 2  colors (Blue and White) with a shell back containing a wall mounting hole. The lightbox includes an IR remote to turn the light box on/off and to change the color intensity from a warm 2700K to a daylight bright 6500K.

The logo is back lit with 110V LED Strip lights to illuminate the entire logo. The unit measures 8.975 length x 8.975 width x 1.575 depth
